TEMPUR Med® Mattress 10-Year Limited Warranty

Tempur-Pedic® Medical, Inc. warrants, to the original purchaser, that this TEMPUR Med Mattress will provide use, free from defects in workmanship and materials, for a period of ten years (10-years) from the initial date of purchase.

For warranty purposes,"defective" is defined as: 1) a mattress core exhibiting separation of the laminated components; or 2) an area of compression in excess of 1” when compared with edge height when the mattress is placed on a solid, flat surface; or 3) cover failure associated with defective materials or faulty workmanship.

If you believe your TEMPUR Med mattress or cover is defective, you must contact Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. and arrange for an inspection. If the mattress or mattress component is found defective within five years of the initial date of purchase, Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. will, at its sole option, repair or replace it with a new one without charge. If the warranty claim is filed after the fifth year, charges for repair or replacement will be based on the remaining warranty period. For example, if the mattress fails during the sixth year, 5/10ths of the warranted life remains and the warranty will cover forty-percent (50%) of the cost of repair or replacement. A mattress in the eighth year of use has 3/10ths of the warranted life remaining and the warranty will cover twenty-percent (30%) of the repair or replacement cost.

Extended warranty: Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. will extend the full warranty period from five to ten years provided the Mattress owner purchase a replacement cover from an authorized Tempur-Pedic Medical supplier and install it on the mattress within six months of the end of the initial full warranty period. This warranty is conditional provided normal use.

Normal Condition

Mattress is designed to be used on a solid deck bed or platform. The warranty term for mattresses exhibiting core compression, which in the sole opinion of Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. is due to use on linksprings or other flexible structure will be reduced by 50% (2 1/2 years full, 5-years prorated, no extended warranty option).

Covers must be cleaned/disinfected using proper dilutions of a standard commercial hospital-type disinfectant only. The use of nonstandard dilutions will invalidate the warranty.

Covers may be laundered only according to the instructions provided. Damage resulting from high temperature laundry and/or drying will invalidate warranty.

High concentrations of chlorine bleach and/or chlorinated disinfectants will degrade textile surface. Damage associated with the accumulated build up of chlorine ions will invalidate the warranty. When chlorine based cleaning products are used, they must be thoroughly rinsed with clear water after the required wet contact period.

The mattress must be protected from physical damage. Mechanical tearing, puncturing, cutting, or abrading will invalidate the warranty. The cover must be intact and in use at all times. The continued use of mattresses with covers which are defective, damaged, or excessively worn will invalidate the mattress core warranty.

Other Limitations

It is normal for TEMPUR material to become "softer" during use. It is also normal for the mattress to develop a faster deflection recovery rate. Neither of these factors results in deterioration of normal pressure redistribution function. Repair or replacement of the mattress or foundation does not extend this warranty or begin a new warranty period. When making a claim against this Warranty, you will be required to produce an acceptable copy of proof of purchase.

This warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of any other warranty, representation, indemnity, or guarantee whether expressed or implied, oral or written, arising by law, custom, or prior policy made or offered by Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc., Tempur-Pedic, Inc., it’s dealers, representatives, or employees.

Purchaser acknowledges, by placing the TEMPUR Med Mattress into use, that this warranty specifically excludes claims for incidental damages or loss and is valid only to the original purchaser. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

TEMPUR Med® Bariatric Mattress 3-Year Warranty

Tempur-Pedic® Medical, Inc. warrants, to the original purchaser, that this TEMPUR Med Bariatric Mattress will provide use, free from defects in workmanship and materials, for a period of three years (3-years) from the initial date of purchase.

For warranty purposes,"defective" is defined as: 1) a mattress core exhibiting separation of the laminated components; or 2) an area of compression in excess of 1.5" when compared with edge height when the mattress is placed on a solid, flat surface; or 3) cover failure associated with defective materials or faulty workmanship.

If you believe your TEMPUR Med mattress or cover is defective, you must contact Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. and arrange for an inspection. If the mattress or mattress component is found defective within three years of the initial date of purchase, Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. will, at its sole option, repair or replace it with a new one without charge.

This warranty is conditional provided normal use.

Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. warrants, to the original purchaser, that this TEMPUR Med Mattress/Pad will provide use, free from defects in workmanship and materials, for a period of two years (2-years) from the initial date of purchase.

For warranty purposes,"defective" is defined as: 1) a mattress core exhibiting separation of the laminated components; or 2) cover failure associated with defective materials or faulty workmanship.

If you believe your TEMPUR Med Mattress/Pad or cover is defective, you must contact Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. and arrange for an inspection. The cover must be intact and in use at all times. The continued use of a Mattresses Pad with a cover which is defective, damaged, or excessively worn will invalidate the Mattress/Pad core warranty.

TEMPUR Med® Wheelchair Cushion 2-Year Limited Warranty

Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. guarantees that this TEMPUR Med® Wheelchair Cushion will be replaced or repaired (at our option), without charge to the original purchaser, should it be defective due to faulty workmanship or structural defects for a period of Two Years from the date of purchase.

Warranties do not apply to products that have been damaged as a result of misuse, placement on a damaged or unapproved platform, burns, punctures, improper handling, use of the cushion without an approved cover, or damage resultant from care and cleaning procedures that differ from manufacturer recommendations.

All warranties listed are exclusive and in lieu of any other warranties, representations, indemnities, and guarantees with respect to the product whether express or implied, arising by law, custom, prior oral or written statements by Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc., Tempur-Pedic, Inc., it’s dealers, representatives, or employees.

In order for the initial purchaser to exercise their rights under this warranty, they must contact Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. to advise of a potential warranty claim, present a copy of this warranty, and provide a copy of the original invoice. Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. will pay for transportation charges.

ViscoRide™ Wheelchair Cushion 1-Year Limited Warranty

Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. guarantees that this ViscoRide™ Wheelchair Cushion will be replaced or repaired (at our option), without charge to the original purchaser, should it be defective due to faulty workmanship or structural defects for a period of One Year from the date of purchase.

Warranties do not apply to products that have been damaged as a result of misuse, placement on a damaged or unapproved platform, burns, punctures, improper handling, use of the cushion without an approved cover, or damage resultant from care and cleaning procedures that differ from manufacturer recommendations.

Tempur-Pedic® Mattress 20-Year Limited Warranty

Tempur-Pedic International, Inc. guarantees that your Tempur-Pedic Swedish Mattress™ will be replaced or repaired at our option,without cost to you, should it be deemed defective because of faulty workmanship or structural defects during the first ten (10) years of the warranty, excluding specific limitations contained herein. It is understood that this limited warranty does not include a normal increase in softness of the TEMPUR® material or a decrease in the slow recovery feature – aspects which do not affect the pressure-relieving qualities of the mattress. This warranty covers any deterioration in the cell structure of the materials that causes the mattress to have a visible indentation greater than three-fourths (0.75) of an inch, not associated with a sag in the foundation or platform. It also covers any physical flaw in the mattress that causes the material to split or crack despite normal usage and proper handling. If such defects occur during the remaining ten (10) years of this limited warranty we will, at our option, repair the mattress at a handling cost to you, or replace the mattress at a prorated charge to you. During the first year of the prorated, 10-year period, the prorated replacement charge will be fifty (50) percent of the original purchase price. The prorated charge will increase by five (5) percent for each subsequent year of the prorated period. Our mattress has been designed to work with a firm,wood, completely flat, non-spring foundation. Our warranty and other performance guarantees are based on tests conducted on our mattresses with such foundations as "sets" THEREFORE, SUBSTITUTING INAPPROPRIATE MANUFACTURERS’ FOUNDATIONS OR BOX SPRINGS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WILL VOID YOUR TEMPUR-PEDIC SWEDISH MATTRESS WARRANTY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You may be required to provide proof as to the quality of the foundation being provided to your mattress in the event of a warranty claim. The terry-cloth mattress cover is warranted for two (2) years against faults in material or workmanship. All warranties contained herein shall not apply if the mattress, foundation, or cover has been physically abused, damaged, burned, cut or torn. This warranty is valid only to the original purchaser of the product. If the original purchaser sells the product, the subsequent purchaser takes the product "as is" and "with all faults" All transportation costs are the responsibility of the purchaser and are additional to any prorated charges. If you did not purchase the mattress directly from Tempur-Pedic, Inc., you must provide proof of purchase for any warranty claim.
